Q4. How can I delete my e-mails on kuc01 using "MAIL" program?
- Follow the instructions listed in Q1 answer page.
- After the "$" sign prompt, type in "mail" command. Then click on "Enter" button.
- You will be prompted with a statement that indicates the number of new messages or
e-mails in your inbox folder.
- After the "MAIL>" prompt, type in "dir" command. Then click on "Enter" button.
- A numbered list of your e-mails will appear.
- To delete a specific e-mail:
- After the "MAIL>" prompt, type in "del email#" command. For example, "del 1".
Then click on "Enter" button. This will delete e-mail number 1.
- To delete two or more e-mails, not in a sequence:
- After the "MAIL>" prompt, type in "del email#,email#" command. For example, "del 2,4".
Then click on "Enter" button. This will delete e-mails number 2 and 4.
- To delete two or more e-mails, in a sequence:
- After the "MAIL>" prompt, type in "del email#-email#" command. For example, "del 5-7".
Then click on "Enter" button. This will delete e-mails from number 5 up to number 7.
- After the "MAIL>" prompt, type in "dir" command again. Then click on "Enter" button.
- A numbered list of your e-mails will appear again. But this time, you can see all of the
e-mails that you specified to be deleted marked with "Deleted" statement.
- After the "MAIL>" prompt, type in "exit" command. Then click on "Enter" button.
- OR to delete all the e-mails in your inbox:
- After the "MAIL>" prompt, type in "dir" command to view all the e-mails. Then click on "Enter" button.
- Type in after the "MAIL>" prompt "del /all" command, then click on "Enter" button.
- After the "MAIL>" prompt, type in "dir" command again. Then click on "Enter" button.

- A numbered list of your e-mails will appear again. But this time, you can see all of the
mails marked with "Deleted" statement.
- After the "MAIL>" prompt, type in "exit" command. Then click on "Enter" button.
